If you want to enjoy a day at the beach in some of Ibiza’s trendiest beach clubs, it’s worth getting a little organised before switching into #beachlife mode. Sunbeds by the sea, Balinese beds, cocktails, DJ sessions and stylish restaurants all sound like a great plan, but in high season it’s best not to leave too much to chance.
Book in advance
In July, August and at weekends, Ibiza’s most famous beach clubs tend to fill their beds, sunbeds and tables quickly. If you already know where you want to spend the day, book ahead and check exactly what is included: sunbed, Balinese bed, table, bottle, food or minimum spend.
Check prices, minimum spends and supplements
In many beach clubs, booking a sunbed or Balinese bed may come with a compulsory minimum spend. Sometimes that amount is deducted from food and drinks, while in other cases you pay separately for the use of the reserved area.
There may also be extra charges for towels, table service, front-row beach spots, the location of the bed or certain time slots. To avoid surprises, check the conditions carefully on the establishment’s official website before confirming.
Choose according to the atmosphere you want
Not all beach clubs in Ibiza are the same. If you’re looking for music, a lively atmosphere and a place to see and be seen, Playa d’en Bossa, Ses Salines, Cala Jondal and San Antonio Bay are good options.
If you prefer a more relaxed plan, with good food, beautiful views and a slower pace, look towards the north, the east of the island or some of the less party-focused coves. Ibiza has places to dance at sunset, but also perfect corners for switching off by the sea.

If you want to enjoy the sunset, arrive with plenty of time. In the most famous spots in western Ibiza, the best tables and beds are often reserved long before the sky starts turning orange.

Ibiza is not a large island, but in summer journeys can take longer than expected. Some coves have narrow roads, limited parking or access points that fill up quickly.
If you’re driving, set off early and check whether the beach club has its own car park or valet parking. If you’re planning to have cocktails or stay into the evening, a taxi or private transfer may be the easiest option.
Dress with style, but keep it effortless
The dress code at Ibiza’s beach clubs is usually relaxed, but with a chic touch. Swimwear, linen, floaty dresses, sunglasses, stylish sandals and a boho feel always work.
